Preschool Co-Teacher

Our goal at Kendall Academy Preschool Center is to develop a safe educational environment that instills a desire to learn while delivering a tailored learning approach. We will cultivate a positive atmosphere to better the learning experience for each child. Our curriculum is based on every child's unique learning method in order to foster a healthy academic appetite. We believe our teachers are the catalyst in encouraging our children to learn in their own way by providing them with a stable and comprehensive setting. We expect our teachers and Co-Teachers to work as part of a team to provide a nurturing environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A full-time or part-time Preschool Co-Teacher in Vero Beach, willing and able to work in a creative, educational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Co-teaching, specifically assisting Lead Teachers with activities, instructions, and supervising in educating preschool-age children
• Be on time every day with good attendance
• Provide a nurturing and positive environment for all students
• Maintain consistent supervision of all students
• Work as part of an educational team to provide a safe and welcoming environment
• Must attend training classes designed to broaden professionalism, education, and skills involving child care and development as required by State regulations and Administration
• Ability to move, assist, and lift children
• Ability to lift 35lbs
• Ability to use hands and feet

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or higher
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Have a 45-hour Child Care certificate or be willing to complete
• Experience working with young children in a licensed educational environment
• Be able to pass a DCF and employment background check
• Authorized to work in the US
• Speak, read, and write English
• Be patient and flexible
• Be able to interact with children
• This job requires being on your feet, moving, or extensive sitting for up to 8 hours a day

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

• Co-Teaching: 1 year (Required)
• Preschool: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• DCF 45-hour Child Care Certification
